Miccosukee Tribe Ready to Break Ground for New Casino Opening this Fall

Miami, FL – August 15, 2023 – The Miccosukee Tribe is expanding its footprint and adding a new casino to its portfolio of enterprises. The latest addition to the Tribe’s gaming operations will be located at the Miccosukee Service Plaza on I-75, Exit 49 and Snake Road in Ochopee, Florida. Construction is set to commence on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, with a groundbreaking ceremony at 10:30 AM at the Service Plaza.

Travelers, locals, and gaming enthusiasts will fuel up on fun and jackpots at the Miccosukee Service Plaza Casino, slated to open in Fall 2023, featuring 150 of the newest slot machines in a non-smoking environment with an elegant design and 8,500 square feet of entertainment space. For the development of this project, the Tribe is partnering with national architecture and engineering design firm CPH and Florida-based construction company 2 Brothers Contracting LLC.

The groundbreaking ceremony will include presentations by the Miccosukee Tribal Business Council, casino executives, and construction partners who will provide further details on this exciting new venture, part of a multi-million-dollar expansion of the Miccosukee Tribe’s operations.
