Miccosukee Leader Speaks Out Against ``Alligator Alcatraz`` Detention Center

Miami, FL – July 3, 2025 – Our Miccosukee Business Council Secretary William Osceola spoke with ABC News’ Linsey Davis to discuss how a migrant detention center could impact the reservation and restoration efforts in the Everglades.

The so-called “Alligator Alcatraz” would sit 20 minutes from the main Miccosukee reservation and less than 100 yards from the Panther Camp, raising environmental and safety concerns for local Tribal communities.
