Elected Miccosukee Business Council Set for Official Inauguration Ceremony

Miami, FL – November 24, 2025 – On Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10 AM, the Miccosukee Business Council will host an inauguration ceremony to officially appoint its five elected officials: Chairman, Assistant Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Lawmaker. This milestone event marks the beginning of a new Council term and reaffirms the Tribe’s commitment to strong governance, collaborative community leadership, and the preservation of Miccosukee cultural values.

The Miccosukee Business Council oversees vital responsibilities, including resource development, governmental operations, membership services, law and order, education, welfare, recreation, and financial management. By blending traditional Tribal governance with modern administrative practices, the Council provides the foundation for the Tribe’s present-day organizational structure.

The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Chickeechobee General Council Grounds, located across from the Miccosukee Indian Village, and will feature traditional elements and remarks from incoming Council members. In-person attendance is by invitation only. The program will be livestreamed on Instagram at @miccosukeetribeofindians so that Tribal members and the public can join virtually to celebrate this significant occasion.
