Opened in 1983, our museum provides visitors with an insight into the unique way of life of the Miccosukee Tribe. We preserve Miccosukee history and culture through historical documents, archival photographs, and original artifacts.

In addition to permanent exhibits that showcase the Tribe’s early life and their adaptation to the Everglades, the museum also features rotating exhibits that highlight the historical and contemporary experiences of Native Americans, First Nations, and Aboriginal peoples.

Miccosukee Village

Discover the history, culture, and traditions of the Miccosukee Tribe in the heart of the Everglades. Explore the museum, enjoy live craft demonstrations, watch alligator presentations, and experience airboat rides surrounded by Florida’s natural beauty.
